How to use this FAQ
Eventroo works with digital platforms and services that have their own rules, which may change without prior notice. Because of that, feature availability, approval criteria, processing times and monetization may vary by DSP, territory and content type.
This document does not replace the contract, the Terms and Conditions, the Privacy Policy, the DSPs' rules or specialized legal advice. In case of discrepancy, the contractual documents and the policies applicable to the specific case prevail.
Eventroo may request additional information or documents whenever necessary to validate identity, ownership, eligibility, security, payments, fraud prevention or compliance with platform rules.
About Eventroo
5 questions
Eventroo is a platform for music distribution, technology and management of content and rights in the digital environment, built to serve artists, labels, producers and professional partners.
Not by virtue of distribution. Ownership of the recording and the work remains with whoever holds the respective rights, unless a specific contract provides otherwise.
Eventroo may act as a distributor, technology partner, rights manager or under other contractually defined models. Simply distributing a release does not make Eventroo the owner of the content.
Delivery may reach the DSPs and digital services enabled on the account and compatible with the content type, territory and available rights. The list of destinations may change according to platform integrations and policies.
No. All content is subject to Eventroo's validation and the DSPs' rules. Content with inconsistent metadata, rights risk, misleading use of identity, insufficient documentation, suspected fraud or policy violations may be returned, refused, blocked or removed.
Sign-up, account and access
5 questions
Sign-up is done through Eventroo's official channels or by invitation, where applicable. The user must provide true, complete and up-to-date information.
Yes. Eventroo may request corporate, tax and banking documents, as well as proof of authority to represent or ownership of the catalog.
Yes. Additional checks may be required for security, fraud prevention, payments, changes to sensitive data, access recovery or proof of rights.
It is not recommended. The account holder is responsible for protecting their credentials and controlling who has authorized access. Never share your password by e-mail, message or third-party apps.
Eventroo may request a new verification, temporarily restrict sensitive functions or halt risky operations until the security review is complete, subject to the applicable Terms.
Digital distribution and content types
6 questions
Singles, EPs, albums and other formats accepted by partner platforms can be distributed, provided they meet the technical, metadata and rights requirements.
Yes, when the exploitation is legally authorized. A new recording of an existing work does not give the performer ownership of the original composition. Licenses and copyright obligations may vary by territory and type of use.
Only when you have sufficient authorization over the work, the recording, stems, vocals, samples and any other protected elements involved.
Only with the necessary clearances. The fact that a mashup or edit is available on social media, at shows or on video platforms does not mean it is authorized for commercial distribution.
Yes, as long as they are your own, properly licensed or used in a legally permitted way. Eventroo may request the license documentation at any time.
A public-domain composition may be used, but a specific recording of that composition may still be protected. Eligibility depends on the rights over the recording submitted.
Delivery, approval and timelines
5 questions
Eventroo recommends submitting early enough for review, corrections and DSP processing. As a good practice, plan at least 7 days ahead and, for campaigns, pitching and priority releases, prefer a longer window. This is a recommendation, not a guarantee of publication.
No. Eventroo transmits the data according to the applicable flow, but final availability depends on each DSP's processing. Different platforms may publish at slightly different times or dates.
There is no single timeframe. Complete, low-risk content tends to follow the normal flow; material that requires proof of rights, corrections or additional review may take longer.
It means there is at least one pending issue that needs to be resolved before delivery or redelivery to the platforms. Being returned for correction does not, by itself, mean a final rejection.
Some data can be updated, but certain changes require a new submission, a new identifier or the withdrawal of the previous version. Whether it is possible depends on the field changed and the DSP's rules.
Metadata, ISRC, UPC and credits
7 questions
It is the information that identifies the release and its participants: title, version, artists, songwriters, producers, label, language, genre, rights, date and identifiers.
It is the international identifier of a specific recording. As a rule, the same recording must keep the same ISRC when migrating between distributors.
Only for the same recording. Do not reuse an ISRC for different songs, new recordings or materially different versions.
It is the identifier of the product or release, such as a single, EP or album. Each track in the product still has its own ISRC where applicable.
Only those who actually perform in that role. Each artist must be entered in the appropriate field, without artificially grouping several names into a single field.
Use the official artist identifiers when available, and check spelling, collaborators and profiles before submitting. Namesakes may require later correction.
Yes. Credits must reflect the actual participants in the work. Incorrect credits can affect identification, publishing, collection and future disputes.
Artwork, audio, video and technical requirements
6 questions
Use high-quality, legible artwork that meets the DSPs' requirements. Do not use brands, people, characters, logos, photographs or protected elements without authorization.
Only with proper authorization. Using a third party's image or identity in a way that suggests non-existent participation, partnership or endorsement may lead to refusal or removal.
Yes. Submit the final version intended for the public. Files with clipping, cuts, glitches, unintended silence or a wrong master can cause problems that distribution does not fix.
Minor corrections are assessed case by case. Significant changes to the recording may require a new ISRC or a new release.
Video distribution may be available when the account and the destination are eligible. The file must meet the technical and rights specifications required by the destination platform.
Because DSPs validate resolution, aspect ratio, codec, frame rate, bitrate, audio, sample rate and other technical parameters. Playing locally does not mean it is within the delivery specification.
Catalog migration and keeping your history
5 questions
Yes, as long as you hold the necessary rights and submit metadata consistent with the version already published.
Eventroo cannot guarantee that metrics will be preserved, since matching is done by the DSPs. To increase the chance of a match, keep the same ISRC, audio, title, artist, duration and other essential data.
There is no standard timeframe. During the transition there may temporarily be two versions, differences in availability or delays in the association.
In general, no. Good practice is to coordinate the migration to reduce the risk of unavailability. The procedure may vary depending on the catalog and the DSP.
It may be possible, but simultaneous changes reduce the consistency needed for automatic matching. When the goal is to preserve history, keep the essential data as close as possible to the previous version.
Revenue, reports, taxes and payments
9 questions
Revenue is reported by the platforms from streams, downloads, advertising, video monetization, content usage or other applicable models.
There is no universal value. Payment depends on the platform, territory, user plan, advertising, currency, period and the DSP's other economic rules.
Only after the DSP closes, reports and releases the financial data and Eventroo completes the corresponding processing. Performance data is not the same as settled financial revenue.
Not necessarily. Estimates may be subject to adjustments, reversals, withholdings, exchange-rate variation, taxes, traffic invalidation or later reconciliations.
When it has actually been reported, processed and made available under the conditions of the account, the contract and the payment method. Amounts that are only estimated or still subject to validation are not a final balance.
Use the payment method enabled for your account and keep your banking, tax and registration details correct. Additional checks may be requested before release.
There may be taxes, withholding at source, processing fees, currency conversion or other deductions depending on the country where the revenue originates, tax residence, payment method and applicable law.
Yes, when there is a corrective report from the DSP, a reversal, a deduction for invalid traffic, a material error, a dispute, a chargeback, a tax change or a financial reconciliation.
When there are reasonable grounds of fraud, a rights dispute, an ownership inconsistency or a DSP determination, amounts related to the case may be temporarily unavailable during the review, within the limits of the Terms and applicable law.
YouTube, Content ID and channel management
7 questions
It is YouTube's system that identifies matches between published videos and reference content registered by eligible owners or administrators.
No. Eligibility depends on sufficient rights and, as a rule, on exclusivity over the material used as a reference.
Among the highest-risk examples are non-exclusive content, widely licensed beats or loops, generic libraries, sound effects, public domain without exclusivity, incompatible Creative Commons, mashups, DJ mixes, karaoke, compilations, uncleared samples and references over which the client does not have sufficient control.
This can happen due to duplicate distributors, old references, multiple administrators or an ownership conflict. Send the link, ISRC and available documentation for review.
No. A Content ID claim usually concerns a match and a monetization policy. A copyright strike is a different procedure and can have more serious consequences for the channel.
Channel management, monetization or network services depend on eligibility, review and specific setup. Distributing music through Eventroo does not guarantee automatic entry into any channel program.
Gather the URL, identify the recording and confirm your ownership. Eventroo may advise or follow the procedure available according to the contracted service and the nature of the right involved.
Copyright, publishing and clearances
6 questions
No. Recording distribution concerns the exploitation of the recording. The rights in the composition belong to the authors and other owners of the work and may generate revenue on different layers.
No. They are distinct roles. Authorship credits should only be given to those who actually took part in creating the work.
Registration, administration or collection services for works may exist depending on the enabled solution and the applicable contract.
Eventroo may request proof of ownership, halt delivery, remove the content or take the measures provided in the Terms. The person who submitted it remains responsible for the legitimacy of the rights declared.
Contracts, assignments, licenses, image and voice authorizations, splits, sample clearances, producer agreements, label documents, remix authorizations and other evidence related to the content.
Yes, when the use and exploitation are legally permitted and the applicable copyright obligations are met.
Artificial intelligence, voice, image and identity
6 questions
Using AI tools does not automatically make content eligible or ineligible. Eventroo will assess the material according to rights, originality, transparency, imitation risk, the possibility of proof and the DSPs' current policies.
Yes. Fully or partially synthetic content may be refused when there is a risk of infringement, misleading identity, insufficient rights, impossibility of proof, use incompatible with DSP rules or significant risk to the platform and other rights holders.
Only with sufficient authorization for that use. Voice cloning or imitation may involve personality rights, name, image, trademark, competition and platform-specific policies.
Only with an adequate legal basis and authorization where required. Eventroo may refuse material that suggests non-existent collaboration, endorsement or participation.
Whenever the platform, the law, the contract or Eventroo's flow requires that information, it must be provided truthfully and completely.
No. A commercial license for the tool does not replace the rights analysis of inputs, outputs, voice, image, samples, references and the other elements involved.
Marketing, performance and data
5 questions
No. Eventroo does not guarantee editorial inclusion, playlist position, number of streams, views, followers or commercial results.
Yes, as long as the campaign seeks a real audience and does not automate, pay for or manipulate plays artificially.
No. Services that promise guaranteed volume, bots, streaming farms, artificially incentivized clicks or other forms of manipulation can cause loss of royalties and penalties.
Use the reports available on Eventroo and complement the analysis with the DSPs' official dashboards when needed.
Different sources use different periods, time zones, filters, methodologies and update times. Consumption, audience and financial data may also be processed at different moments.
Takedowns, disputes, fraud and artificial streaming
7 questions
Use the platform's channels or support. The request will be processed and forwarded to the DSPs, but the final removal is not instantaneous nor necessarily simultaneous across all destinations.
Eventroo may request documents and clarifications and, depending on the risk, suspend delivery, updates, monetization or availability while the case is reviewed.
It is the manipulation of plays, views or other metrics by non-genuine means, such as bots, automation, streaming farms, coordinated devices or services that generate consumption without real audience interest.
DSPs may disregard streams, withhold or reverse royalties, remove content, restrict profiles or apply other measures. Eventroo may reflect those measures on the account and take the steps provided for in the contract.
The account holder must monitor the vendors and campaigns used on their catalog. Claiming that the manipulation was carried out by an agency, partner or third party does not prevent the DSP from applying adjustments to the affected content.
Repeat offenses, high-risk patterns or serious breaches may lead to an extended account review, feature restrictions, suspension of new submissions or other measures provided in the applicable Terms.
When a procedure is available, yes. The dispute must be objective and accompanied by the relevant evidence. Reversal depends on the facts, the DSP's rules and the applicable review.
Documentation, audits and compliance
5 questions
Yes. The need for proof may arise later due to an audit, complaint, claim, DSP request, payment, registration change or fraud prevention.
Contracts, licenses, authorizations, corporate and personal documents, banking or tax records, splits, evidence of creation, voice/image authorizations and other material relevant to the case may be requested.
Eventroo may limit operations related to the content, suspend monetization, block new submissions or request removal, depending on the risk and the applicable contractual conditions.
No. False data, tampered documents, fictitious credits or misleading statements may cause refusal, blocking, termination of service and other consequences provided by law and contract.
Yes, within legal and contractual limits, especially to verify rights, fraud, security, policy compliance and dispute resolution.
Privacy, data and LGPD
5 questions
Data is processed to provide the service, authentication, support, payments, security, fraud prevention, compliance with legal obligations and the other purposes set out in the Privacy Policy and applicable legal bases.
Depending on the service, registration, professional, tax, banking, access, support and transaction data may be processed, as well as information needed to manage content and payments.
Data processing must follow the Privacy Policy and applicable law. Sharing necessary to provide the service may occur with vendors, payment processors, DSPs and other authorized partners.
See the Privacy Policy published on Eventroo's official channels. Requests related to personal data must use the channel indicated in that policy.
For as long as necessary for the purposes of processing and to comply with legal, contractual, regulatory, tax, security and rights-defense obligations, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
